FIRST AID RESPONSE (FAR) COURSE
Are you looking to become a certified First Aid Responder in Ireland? Our comprehensive 3-day PHECC accredited course covers all essential aspects of workplace first aid, meeting Health & Safety Authority (HSA) requirements.
What You'll Learn in Our FAR Training:
- Patient Assessment and Incident Procedure
- Cardiac First Response at Community Level
- Management of Common Medical Emergencies
- Injury Management and Shock Treatment
- Care for Unconscious Patients
- Burns and Electrical Injury Care
- Hypothermia and Hyperthermia Management
- Information Management and Communications
- First Aider Well-being
- The course duration is 3 days. (flexible scheduling available)
- This can be broken down to 1 day a week or 3 consecutive days together.
- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and Practical Assessment: All assessments are carried out in accordance with PHECC (Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council) requirements and are externally reviewed before certification is issued.
Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) First Aid Response certificate, valid for 2 years
Renewal:
In order to maintain your qualification after a two-years period, you will be required to undertake a recertification course. This course consists of a two-day course designed to refresh the knowledge and skills you learned from your initial training. You must have a valid First Aid Response certificate in order to partake in the two-day course.
